Morbid Movies: Day Of The Dead and A morbid love letter

Day of the Dead is a great Cult Classic Movie. Romero's third in the DEAD series. It is very gory and a lot of fun. And go See it at Movies of Lake Worth on April 28th at 9:30pm est. Here is the Trailer.

Now the Other Part of this Night. Myself and Nicole are Moving to England and won't be in Florida for any more events at  least for a while. Morbid Movies has been Fantastic to us these past few years and its been a fun ride. Don't think Morbid Movies is done its not. And we will always support them .

Morbid Movies : Scream

By the 90's we had basically the same story over and over again as for most of the slasher movies.
Why yes Friday the 13th did switch it up with who is the killer from time to time part 1 and then 5 but for the most part you knew Leather Face , Jason, Micheal Myers and most  definitely Freddy Kruger was.  In 1996 Wes Craven who by then without a doubt cemented his legacy as a Master of Horror went for something a little bit different. What became who can you trust who is the killer running around in a ghost mask everyone is a suspect movie also became a huge meta film as well. The film is about a killer who loves horror films and kills people. It became a huge success and had  many parodies and three sequels and a MTV TV series. Scream influenced a lot of horror in the late 90's. Now here is your chance to see this Wes Craven classic at  Movies of Lake Worth and presented by Morbid Movies. People had voted and wanted this movie to be seen. So March 24th at 9:30pm for only $10 you can watch this film one night only don't miss out.

Morbid Movies : My Bloody Valentine

Because of the success of John Carpenter's Halloween the slasher craze took off . While Black Christmas (1974) predated Halloween. The more popular and what started the craze ended being Halloween. After that we had another successful string of killer holiday movies with Friday the 13th which gave birth the icon known as Jason Voorhees. After Friday the 13th we got a new holiday with a masked killer. My Bloody Valentine.  A group of teenagers who decide to throw a Valentine's Day party only to incur the vengeful wrath of a maniac in mining gear who begins a murder spree. From what I read the movie was so gory and violent that it had 9 minutes cut by the MPAA. Of course we ended up with a remake which isn't horrible in 2009. However the 1981 classic is still loved by horror fans.  And one night only at  Movies of Lake Worth you can see this cult classic on the big screen presented by Morbid Movies. Friday February 10th 2017 at 9:30 pm and its only $10 and first 100 people get a button. Morbid Movies :Nightmare on Elm Street 3 Dream Warriors

30 years ago Nightmare on Elm Street had a third installment that felt more like a direct sequel than part 2. Some odd years after the original Freddy is back and going after the children on elm street. he finds way to hurt them to have them sent to Weston Hills so they are in one place to killed off. Some of the original cast returns like John Saxon and NOES fan favorite Heather Langenkamp as Nancy.
So yes there's nightmares in the movie but the kids under Nancy's guidance learn they have dream powers as well and go off to stop Freddy Kruger's reign of terror. Morbid Movies and Movies of Lake Worth are having a 30th anniversary showing of one of the series most popular installments.

Morbid Movies : Silent Night, Deadly Night

A 1984 Film  Set during Christmas, the story concerns a young man, who after witnessing his parents murdered and raised tumultuously in an abusive Catholic orphanage as a young boy begins to suffer traumatic experiences years later and emerges into a spree killer while donning a Santa suit himself. Another Fantastic cult Classic. A decade after Black Xmas came out and during the slasher era of horror the late 70's and 80's. For One Night only you can see this cult classic at Movies of Lake Worth from Morbid Movies at 9:30pm on Friday December 16th.

Morbid Movies: John Carpenter's They Live

A drifter comes to Los Angeles to work..when he finds a pair of sunglasses that revel a truth that Aliens are among us. Most alien flicks have a monster or a ship blowing stuff up or taking over bodies. Not this Movie they are already here and look like me and you. The sunglasses revel what they look like in a black and white manner where signs say obey and  the people have skull faces. Its up to Wrestling Legend Roddy Piper and  Keith David to stop this menace. This movie also has one of the longest fist brawl fights of all time. It's another John Carpenter Classic along with Escape from NY and The Thing. Its fitting that people should go see this one time showing in theaters with all the madness going on since the election. Its a fun movie and a cult classic and nothing like seeing an 80's movie in the theater with some friends. They Live is brought you by Morbid Movies  and shown at the wonderful Movies of Lake Worth and for 10 bucks you can see this cult film on the big screen.

Morbid Movies : Halloween 3 Season of the Witch

John Carpenters Halloween was a huge success when it came out in 1978 and spawned many sequels and even a remade series. All having to do with Micheal Myers ..except Halloween 3.
Halloween 3 was a start of  a new story to kind of show off strange things that happen on Halloween.
The problem was because of Friday the 13th and how popular Micheal had become from  Halloween 1 and 2 people wanted more of the same. Halloween 3 is set in a different place than Haddonfield Illinois and really had nothing to do with Myers. Instead it has a plot  about a doctor and an evil mask maker and druids and Stonehenge. It is better than it sounds and at first people were unhappy it had nothing to do with Micheal Myers and for a long time people hated this film. In the last 6 years or so it has gotten a cult following and many people now love this unique film. If this movie was made today people would probably jump on board..in the 80's was a different story. Come out to  Morbid Movies at the Movies of Lake Worth for a one night screening of the Cult Movie Halloween 3 Season of the Witch. It Stars Tom Atkins who is a cult hero and quite the movie badass.

Morbid Movies : The EVIL DEAD

35 years ago some Michigan guys made a movie unlike any other at its time. The EVIL DEAD
Here's what its about  Ashley "Ash" Williams (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend and three pals hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it's read aloud. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life in this, the first of Sam Raimi's trilogy.

That's one way to put it. Here's how we feel about the movie. Its The EVIL DEAD this movie is insane. Hokey and just awesome it is one of the biggest cult films ever.  This Launched Bruce Campbell's career along with Sam Raimi.

I bought this flick along with Evil Dead 2 at Walmart when I was In High School and I fell in love with it ever since.  So for it;s 35th Anniversary our pal over at Morbid Movies are showing this cult classic for one night on the big screen at Movies of Lake Worth on September 16th at 930 pmif you are a horror lover trust me you wont want to miss this one. Morbid Movies : JAWS 2

First things first to get this out of the way. JAWS is my all time Favorite movie. Not just Horror or Summer Block Busters ...My number one movie pick. I read the book in High School and my grand parents taped it off of Showtime and I wore out that tape through out my school years. I finally saw it on big screen last year. But is it a cult movie..no it was widely popular..by everyone way before I was even born and was the first Summer Block Buster. Now JAWS 2 on the other hand is a different thing all together. and I also love this movie. Is it as good as the First one...nope. But it does have its charms. One thing being its not a rehash of the first one. Now i know people will say..what..yes..its on Amity..again..there is a shark.. Brody's in it..the Mayors in it. Yes all true but the plot this time is different while the first one was a Horror Movie and became a huge summer event and put Spielberg on the Map. The second Movie is more of a dead teenager movie and semi slasher type. Instead of a wacko in a mask you got a 25 foot shark. JAWS 2 is a good cult flick and will be amazing on the big screen thanks to Morbid Movies and Movies of Lake Worth on Aug 19th 9:30 pm 10.00 one night only.

Morbid Movies : The Thing

Oh John Carpenter what a movie making icon. Halloween was a huge hit and not long after he would be making other fantastic films. The Thing ..while a remake ..mostly by name..it is truly a mark on its own. A research Station is infiltrated by a creature that imitates an animal or person. Stuck in the Antarctic the team wonder who is human and who is the Thing. Another awesome thing about this movie is it has Kurt Russell who also was in other great Carpenter movies. Along with Keith David who stars in a lot of films. So now you got one chance to see this chiller on the big screen for one night on at Movies of Lake Worth on July 22nd by Morbid Movies.

I have seen this image all over the place for years. As a horror fan I have to say I have never seen it before. I know there is  a zombie fight shark. That/s about all. So come find out what this movie is about and all the buzz is about. Here's a brief description.  Investigating an abandoned boat in a New York harbour, a patrolman is killed by a zombie before his partner chases it overboard.
The dead patrolman's body is taken to the morgue. Anne Bowles (Tisa Farrow) is questioned by police, as the boat belonged to her father.
She claims he is conducting research on Matul, a Caribbean island. A newspaper reporter, Peter West (Ian McCulloch), is investigating the story.
He and Bowles learn that Bowles' father is suffering from a strange illness on the island.

The Lost boys is arguable one of the best vampire movies ever, At least I think so anyway. I was a kid when this movie came out and I remember it mostly on TV.  As i grew older I appreciated  much more for its soundtrack and film style. The humor was good and the effects as well.  It showed vampires as monsters and teens.  The characters are all likable and charming and it was a well written story. The only other decent vampire movie I can remember from that era was Fright Night. And Vamp But i like Vamp cause how its pretty terrible in a sense. But by now Im sure everyone has seen The Lost Boys at least once. But if you haven't or never seen it on the big screen ..here's your chance at Morbid Movies at Movies of Lake worth Friday June 20th at 9:30pm est. We will be there and so should you. Morbid Movies : Creepshow

Morbid Movies has been showing cult classics for a year. That really is one of the best sentences I could write up.
For someone who loves horror films this is truly a great thing. The fact that people go out to a theater to see a movie that is easily online or on DVD or Blu ray is even better.
WHY? Because its an experience thing, that's why. To have a group of people who 90% Probably saw said movie already to get together once a month to be together
and watch something ..hell they probably know by heart is why I love horror. To see a movie that I never got to in theaters is something awesome altogether.
So I solute Morbid Movies and Movies of Lake Worth for giving us this experience. If you live On The Treasure Coast to Boca or Even Lauderdale or on the West coast of FL make a trip to this event.
Each month something awesome and fun. This Month on April 15th we got one of the best Anthology films out there Creepshow and for $10 you can see it on the big screen
at 9:30pm est Don't Miss out.

GROOVY!! Bruce Campbell is back ..in time. Stuck in the past Ash must get the Necronomicon and stop the army of the dead and get home. Yes that is basically the plot of the 1992 Sam Raimi classic Army of Darkness. The third film of the at the time Evil Dead trilogy . Since then there has been Evil Dead (2013) and Ash vs Evil Dead (TV show) But way back in 1992 that was it AOD ..only thing since was comics and video games. AOD was different than EVIL DEAD 1 and 2 .  Much bigger budget and was more a Horror/ Fantasy/ comedy then a straight Horror film. While Evil dead 2 had dark humor..AOD had more comedy and less blood and gore. I love this movie for the cheese factor and as a teen i dressed best as i could for Ash for Halloween one year. So for one night only come out and watch this cult film and get Groovy at  Movies of Lake Worth and check out Army of Darkness hosted by  Morbid Movies  FRIDAY, MARCH 18TH at 9:30PM  $10.00 The first 100 attendees will get an exclusive button and there will be a raffle after the screening.
