Morbid Movies : Return of The Living Dead

Back in the 60s George Romero put out a movie involving the dead coming back to life and eating people. Now we had zombies and not the voodoo kind either. The undead eating people and causing a panic. He started the Zombie Genre that we know today thanks to many movies and Comics and books. But lets back up before the Walking dead which is one of the biggest zombie shows and comics out there. Lets go back before Shaun of the dead and Izombie. Lets head to the 80's. 1985 had a lot of hits one being a movie about time travel and another about a formula and story based on lovecraft and then we had Return of the Living dead. A dark comedy about a chemical that was could be from the night of the living dead that now brings back zombies. What makes this movie is the cast and how they approach everything. Also a kick ass soundtrack and punk rockers. Yes this movie is horror and has punks. But over all its a fun movie and with practical effects and over all atmosphere it is definitely a cult classic. by the way its the 30th  Anniversary and for one night only on the big screen thanks to Morbid Movies  and Movies of Lake Worth Friday November 20th at  9:30pm est.
