By 1984 we had The Texas Chainsaw Massacre , 3 Halloween movies and by that summer 4 Friday the 13th Flicks. Then Wes Craven who had done some movies before like Last House on the Left and The Hills Have eyes came up A Nightmare on Elm Street. This time the killer would be different then before. No mask , no Knife , machete or chainsaw. A glove with claws and a hat. And Freddy Kruger talked. Oh and kills you in your dreams. While in the past trying something new (Halloween 3) was not received well and now had a slasher formula going, Nightmare changed that with Freddy. The movie did well and spawned 5 sequels , A new nightmare , TV show , a crossover with Jason, plenty of comics and books , figures, merchandise, and a lame bland remake. Now we got a Chance to see the Original film on the big screen thanks to Morbid Movies and Movies of Lake Worth.
